The MARLY Collection

Last week I attended a personal styling session with Marlene at the Crystal Towers Hotel. Marlene Engelbrecht who previously worked in Paris for 11 years, has just launched her “Marly Mono Chic” collection and I’m completely in love with her colour scheme and style of clothing. The collection consists of luxe pencil skirts, dramatic kimono style shirts and gorgeous coats which are perfect for winter and summer. After viewing her collection and getting a sneak peak of her spring line. I got the opportunity to try on a few outfits.

How gorgeous is this two coloured kimono, hand beaded. You can literally wear it either way depending on which colour you’re in the mood for.

Marlene’s garments are aimed at fashion forward consumers between sizes 14-24, which isn’t exactly my size but that didn’t stop me from falling in love with one or two items and trying them on for fun.

What I really love about Marlene and her clothes is that it’s all about making you look good and flattering your body type, all her clothes are uniquely designed to hide all those lumps and bumps so that you feel confident about how you look.

With emphasis on immaculate fit, quality fabric and of course gorgeous fashion I believe the Marly Mono Chic collection combines sleek, fresh modern lines with an air of sophisticated sensuality that confident women can adore – Marlene

My all time favourite dress was what Marlene calls her essential “little black dress”, paired with one of her signature coats – this look is perfection.

I can’t get over how beautifully hand beaded Marlene’s tops and dresses are, and how affordable everything is. Her pieces can be mixed and matched so easily because of the monochromatic colour palette, and if anyone knows me then you know I love wearing neutral colours.
